Victorian End Terrace (Living Room)
This living room needed to work hard for everyday family life — a space to relax, watch TV, and unwind at the end of a busy day. The goal was to create a room that felt more like a snug than a formal drawing room, with comfort, practicality and an easy, lived-in warmth leading the way.
A palette of rich blues, soft greys and gentle neutrals sets a cosy yet calm foundation, while new furniture, lighting and storage were designed around the family’s real routines. Bespoke cabinetry makes the most of the period alcoves, offering both display space and hidden storage, and existing pieces such as the nest of tables and artwork were incorporated to keep the room feeling familiar and personal.
The result is a relaxed, welcoming room that celebrates the home’s period features while giving the family a cosy haven to retreat to; stylish, functional and comfortable.
“I didn't realise how much I could love a room! I was just looking for a steer and had some ideas, but the designs Danielle came up with were so much more than I'd imagined and she created the most wonderful, relaxed, stylish family room for us. She is a dream to work with and all the rooms she's designed are stunning. I wouldn't hesitate to employ her services again.”
